Ishq-e-butaan ka le ke sahaara kabhi kabhi - Arsh Malsiayani

Ishq-e-butaan ka le ke sahaara kabhi kabhi,
Apne Khuda ko hum ne pukaara kabhi kabhi;

Aasooda-e-Khaatir hi naheen matmah-e-wafa,
Gham bhi kiya hai hum ne gawaara kabhi kabhi;

Is intehaa-e-tark-e-muhabbat ke ba-wajood,
Hum ne liya hai naam tumhaara kabhi kabhi;

Tufaan ka khauf hai abhi shayad karishma-kaar,
Aata hai samne jo kinaara kabhi kabhi,

Tanhaa-ravi ne rakkhi humaare junoon ki laaj,
Go ahl-e-kaarwan ne pukaara kabhi kabhi;

Ab kya kahein dil-e-mutalavvin-mizaaj ko,
Aksar ye aap ka hai,humaara kabhi kabhi;

Paiham sitam se ishq ki taskeen ho na jaaye,
Aye dost iltifaat Khudaa-ra kabhi kabhi;

Fariyaad-e-gham se arsh sambhalta hai dil magar,
Lete hain ahl-e-dil ye sahaara kabhi kabhi..!!!

Rumi and Confucius

"Despite the fact that Confucius and Rumi were born in different periods and places, both were born at a time of social upheaval and political turmoil. Consequently, both thinkers tried to provide the means for their people to overcome the times of difficulty, first by understanding, cultivating, and realizing their human potentialities, and then by transforming themselves, their families, and their societies. Interestingly, Rumi and Confucius share more in common than most people would think and their teachings are still meaningful and relevant to the modern world. The wisdom of Confucius and Rumi provides todays readers with spiritual resources to overcome the challenges of our time and to build bridges of understanding and dialogue among different cultures and civilizations. This paper examines the core ideas of these two great thinkers and provides anthropocosmic insights into their ideas on nature, family and music."
